"The birth of Pizza from beggar's food to Queen Margherita's special pizza. "

A long time ago where we never knew the real taste of Pizza, my sisters and I bothered my father daily to get us some pizza. One day he said, "Go get your pizza. It's in the kitchen." We rushed to get that with excitement. "Oh! what is this?" It's a Rotti with tomato sauce and cheese on top of it. Is there anyone who doesn't know about Rotti? If anyone says Pizza is rich food. Then, what about Rotti? Believe me! Rotti which Italians call Panis Focacius is the basement or the ancestors for that delicious secret of Pizza which is also known as a Pie. Of course, Pizza is a small flatbread like a Rotti piled high with glorious toppings and serve warmly to feel the amazing taste of heaven, "Mm Yummy!". You must be Salivating.

As we all know motherland of Pizza is Italy. They say before the birth of modern Pizza this is a common food tagged with the name "beggar's food" in Italy. Even a beggar can easily buy Pizza for an affordable price. Nowadays Pizza is very popular around the world with many delicious toppings. Thanks to Esposito we are in love with that amazing taste of Pizza.

Raffaelle Esposito from Napel, Italy is the great owner for this heavenly taste of modern Pizza. He was in charge to make a delicious special Pizza for queen Margherita which can break the Beggar’s food tag from Pizza. Esposito thought day and night and experimented with delectable tastes and colours of Pizzas to bring a speciality for this Panis focaccias. He finally came up with a great mind-blowing idea. He decided to embellish a Pizza that symbolizes the national colours of the Italian flag. Green, white and red colours were replaced with Green basil, bursting mozzarella, and Tomato chops. Even though his idea was brilliant he thought of serving three types of Pizzas to the Queen as he cannot put his great ideas at risk. He served Garlic or Pizza marinara which is a style of Neapolitan Pizza seasoned with tomato, olive oil, and garlic into one pan and then another Pizza with anchovies, capers, oregano, and sea salt under the layers and layers of mozzarella baked into golden brown.

Finally serve his special Pizza which symbolizes the national colours of the Italian flag. Out of all these flavourful pizzas Margherita Queen had special attention on the Pizza with basil, mozzarella, and tomatoes due to its symbolization. This is the beginning of what we call the “Margherita Pizza” which we can find from anywhere in this world today with different delicious toppings. This heavenly taste Pizza could be able to label Esposito as the father of Pizza.

Later, after many years in between 1880 and 1920 millions of Italians started to migrate to the United States, not alone but with their taste buds and Pizza making skills. This made a huge turning point for the Italians to spread the taste of Pizza around the world and it gave more and more exclusive topping ideas based on different country tastes. Transformation of various tastes like Vegetable, Cheese and Tomato, different meats, Seafood Pizza, etc. as toppings and the pizza crust from thin to thick with unique flavors to each. Now you will remember Esposito when you feel the taste of pizza. Will you? Never! Pizza lovers forget everyone around them when they start to eat, even a disaster cannot stop them. It simply increases your appetite. That is the uniqueness of Esposito. Let's give him a big salute for all the speciale Delicioso Pizzas we had for the past many years.
